Russian Sintez OKA Group About to Launch Production of New Chemical Compounds

Despite the quarantine measures, Sintez OKA is developing and about to launch the production of new chemical compounds for grinding intensifiers and performance enhancers — triisopropanolamine (TIPA) and ethanol diisopropanolamine (EDIPA). The first batch will be ready in June 2020.

Expanding its range of chemical products for the construction industry, Sintez Oka is implementing an import substitution program. TIPA and EDIPA are premium additives, which fully meet the requirements of cement plants.

The required equipment modernization, which is finalized and scheduled maintenance works are now underway in order to launch operation.

June will see a new water-reducing admixture, Sinteflow DM-50 introduced to the Sinteflow line-up. The additive is widely used in the production of low water demand binders, dry mortars, Portland cement based repair mixtures, dry shotcrete, in oil production and in other fields. The cost of Cineflow DM-50 is significantly lower than that of imported analogues.

In 2018, Sintez OKA was the first in Russia to set up the industrial production of diethanol isopropanolamine, one of the basic compounds for the production of cement grinding intensifiers. Previously, this component was imported from abroad.
