The local government of Anbar Province announced the start of implementation of the Ramadi cement plant project. The facility will become the largest and first investment project for a cement plant wholly owned by the private sector, with a production capacity of one million tonnes per year.

In Uzbekistan, large enterprises produced 6.5 million tons of cement in January–April 2026, the National Statistics Committee reported.

In 2025, Iskitimcement JSC allocated about RUB 460 million for the implementation of programs to improve the environmental safety of production. The work is being carried out as part of the federal Clean Air project, in which Iskitim has participated since September 1, 2023.

SaltX Technology, Holcim and Paebbl are implementing a demonstration project for electrified cement production and the utilization of captured CO₂ across the industrial value chain. A modern electrostatic precipitator has been commissioned on rotary kiln No. 2 at LLC “Topkinsky Cement” (a subsidiary of JSC “HC “Sibcem”). The implementation of this project completed a long-term program for replacing gas cleaning equipment in the “Obzhig” kiln department: all five rotary kilns at the enterprise are now equipped with modern electrostatic precipitators.
