Portuguese investment group Semapa has more than EUR 1 billion available for new investments and is exploring acquisition opportunities in the European market. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing an interview with the company’s CEO, Ricardo Pires.

Portuguese cement producer Secil is implementing a modernization project at its Maceira-Liz plant aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of its production. The initiative is carried out under the ProFuture CCL (Clean Cement Line) program and targets a reduction of CO₂ emissions by approximately 30 % compared to 2019 levels.
