Iskitimcement completed the commissioning of a closed-circuit dynamic separator with a bag filter at a cement mill No. 6 of the grinding facility. The separator is produced by Christian Pfeiffer. The investments amounted to about 270 million rubles. Preparatory work began two years ago, construction and installation were completed in 2019, the plant specialists started commissioning in the spring of 2020. Currently, the separator is operating normally.
The implementation of the project allowed to increase the quality of all types of cement, especially high-grade cement and boost the productivity of the mill. A closed-circuit unit also allowed to reduce the temperature of cement. The amount of dust in the aspiration system of the mill has decreased by more than ten times. With its filtering system the mill meets modern environmental requirements with less than 10 mg of dust per cubic meter of exhaust gas.
“The main goal of the project is to provide customers with separated cement, which surpasses the quality of products produced with an open-circuit grinding,” says Director General of Iskitimcement Vladimir Skakun. “Given the upward trend in consumption of fine high-grade cement, we are ready to meet the customers' demand for quality products even at the peak of the construction season.”
By the end of the year, Iskitimcement plans to sell about 480,000 tons of high-grade cement. The plant plans to also upgrade filters on smokestacks by 2024. The design capacity of Iskitimcement is 2.1 million tpa.
