Thermally activated fly ash to replace cement in construction.
The process line for integrated recycling of ash and slag wastes operating at OOO Aleksinsky keramzitovy zavod and products of this recycling are described. One of these products - the MICROSIL additive - is actually fly ash, from which magnetic particles and unburnt coal are removed. The results of studies showing the applicability of MICROSIL as an active mineral additive partially replacing cement in concrete are given. The optimum dosage of MICROSIL as this replacement (15 wt % of cement) is determined. The use of this additive allows to save cement, thereby reducing CO2 emissions.Author: A.O. Alexandrov |
