Modern construction materials used in the construction and operation of cement concrete roads and pavements

Concrete road pavements have an increased dura-bility. In Russia and many other countries the share of roads with such pavements in the total length of the highways under construction is increasing. The main disadvantage of concrete pavements is limited maintainability. Eurocement has developed a special type of binder called "microcement". The effective-ness of its use for repair work in road construction was confirmed by comparing the characteristics of repair compositions based on fine-grained con-crete containing microcement and Portland cement CEM I 52,5R.
