Dangote Cement Plc (DANGCEM-NL), Africa’s largest cement producer, is pleased to announce that CDP has raised its rating from B- to B for the Company’s commitment to climate change. The rating upgrade indicates that Dangote Cement has addressed the environmental impact of its business and ensures good environmental management.

TITAN Group achieves top score “A” by CDP for leading climate action TITAN Group has received a top “A” score on climate action from the environmental non-profit organization CDP*. ΤΙΤΑΝ is one of only three cement companies globally to achieve this level in 2022. This score recognizes TITAN’s leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change. In addition, TITAN received an “A-” score in water security.

CDP recognizes Holcim’s sustainability leadership with a double “A” ranking for climate and water management. Holcim is one of 15 companies in Europe and the first in its sector to achieve a double ‘A’ CDP score, out of 15,000 companies scored globally. This third consecutive CDP ‘A’ list ranking for Holcim recognizes its impact in decarbonizing building.

Heidelberg Materials will acquire the Mick George Group, subject to relevant competition authority approval. The Mick George Group is a market-leading construction and demolition waste (CDW) recycler in the Eastern region of the UK, with an annual revenue of around £220 million.

CEMEX announced that it has validated its 2050 net-zero CO2 target through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), becoming one of the first companies in the industry to do so. The validation accounts for CEMEX’s short-term 2030 targets, previously validated by the SBTi for alignment with their 1.5ºC scenario, and long-term targets along its entire value chain.
