Angarskcement Starts Shipping Cement in Pallets of 25-kg Bags
Angarskcement, a subsidiary of Sibcem holding company, began shipping cement in 1.5-ton pallets of 25-kg bags. Previously, the company packed cement in bags of only 50 kilograms.
Due to the growing demand, the specialists of Angarskcement calibrated the weight system of the HAVER & BOCKER’s roto-packer, adapting it for taring cement in bags of both 50 and 25 kilograms. The first batch of palletized cement in bags of 25 kg was shipped to the consumer on June 23.
“After analyzing market trends and customer requests, we came to the conclusion: pallets of cement in 25 kg bags will be in demand,” says Dmitry Kireev, Managing Director of Angarskcement. — It is important for a wholesale consumer that building materials arrive at the points of sale safe and sound. Wrapping film protects the cargo from moisture, mechanical, atmospheric and other influences. In turn, the retail buyer will be able to more accurately calculate the amount of cement he needs and buy cement 25 kg increments. In addition, it is much easier to transport a 25 kg container. Thus, this is the plant’s agile response to market demand and the needs of our consumers."
Angarskcement in the city of Angarsk, Irkutsk region, runs a wet process production line. The design capacity of the enterprise is 1.3 million tpa. The plant's products are supplied to the Irkutsk Region, the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia. In H1 2020 cement production at Angarskcement grew 9 % YoY.
