Dalmia Cement to Expand Plant in Andhra Pradesh

The government of Andhra Pradesh has approved 101 hectares for Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL) to expand its integrated clinker and cement plant in Chinnakommerla.

The expansion will increase the plant’s planned cement production capacity to 9.6 million tonnes per year, up from the previously approved 7.23 million tonnes per year. The project covers the existing plant in Chinnakommerla and Dugganpalli villages.

According to the revised schedule, statutory approvals are expected in June–July 2026. Construction is planned from July 2026 to December 2027, with equipment installation scheduled for November 2026 to November 2027.

Trial production is expected in November–December 2027, with commercial production targeted to begin in January 2028.
