JSW Cement commissions one MTPA grinding unit at Nagaur

JSW Cement has commissioned an additional 1 MTPA cement grinding unit at its Nagaur plant in Rajasthan, taking the facility’s grinding capacity to 3.5 MTPA and the company’s total grinding capacity to 25.1 MTPA.

Total clinker manufacturing capacity, including the clinker capacity at joint venture JSW Cement FZC, stands at 9.74 MTPA. The additional capacity is expected to support supplies across Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and the National Capital Region.

JSW Cement said the expansion has been funded through a mix of equity and long-term debt. During the quarter ended September 30, 2026, the company also commissioned an alternate fuel handling system and a waste heat recovery system (WHRS) at the Nagaur plant.

Nilesh Narwekar, CEO of the company said the additional grinding capacity would support the company’s expansion in North India, while the alternate fuel and WHRS facilities are expected to reduce production costs.
