Kyrgyzstan Lifts Ban on Imports of Certain Construction Materials
Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers has lifted the temporary ban on imports of certain construction materials from third countries. Resolution No. 730 was adopted on 28 October 2026 and entered into force following its official publication on 30 October.
The restrictions previously covered, among other products, building blocks and bricks made of lightweight concrete, cement and stone, certain types of ceramic tiles, polished glass, and electrical cables with aluminium and copper conductors. Exemptions applied to supplies for certain investment and government projects, subject to specific conditions.
The new resolution repeals Resolutions No. 614 of 14 September and No. 691 of 12 October 2026, which introduced and subsequently amended the restrictions. According to the document, the ban was lifted to help stabilise the market for certain construction materials.
