Lucky Cement expands its capacity in DR Congo

Lucky Cement from Pakistan disclosed its plans to expand the cement production capacity in Congo by a 2nd 1.6 Mta line. 

Nyumba Ya Akiba S.A. (NYA), which is the local joint venture of Lucky Cement, set up a greenfield integrated cement plant with a capacity of 1.18 Mta in December 2016 in the Central Province of Congo.

Accordingly, the capacity will be increased to about 2.8 Mta, which will make the Lucky Cement joint venture the largest player in Congo.
