Rwanda government signed a 15-Year Industrial Quarry License to CIMERWA
The Government of Rwanda, through the Rwanda Development Board and Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board, has signed a 15-year industrial quarry license agreement with cement company CIMERWA Plc.
The deal facilitates a $190 million investment in a state-of-the-art clinker manufacturing facility which will significantly enhance domestic cement production capacity. The project aims to cut cement imports by 40 %, create 500+ jobs and support infrastructure growth through sustainable mineral extraction.
