Sibcem Increased Cement Production in H1 2020 by 4 % YoY

In H1 2020, Sibcem’s enterprises produced 2.2 million tons of cement (up by 4 % YoY). Cement shipments to large construction sites rose to 2.4 million tons (up by 0.6 % YoY). All of Sibcem’s cement enterprises showed an increase in production volumes, except for TimlyuyCement, which showed results equal to H1 2019.

Sibcem cement production volumes in H1 2020, by plants:

  • Topkinsky cement - 1 million tons, 1% higher than the same indicator in 2019;
  • Iskitimcement - 453.8 thousand tons, 8% higher than the same indicator in 2019;
  • Krasnoyarsk cement - 295.1 thousand tons, 2% higher than the same indicator in 2019;
  • Angarskcement - 288.7 thousand tons, 9% higher than the same indicator in 2019;
  • TimlyuyCement - 165.1 thousand tons, similar to the figure for January-June 2019.

Volna plant’s output of chrysotile cement products amounted to 2.3 million m3 (down by 40 % YoY). Such decline is explained by a decrease in shipments of corrugated roofing sheets to Tajikistan.

Siberian Concrete shipped 101,500 m3 of mixes to its customers (down by 21 % YoY).

In Q1 2020 Sibcem showed an increase of 14 % YoY in cement output.

In April 2020, Siberian Cement, along with EUROCEMENT group, was listed among essential companies for the Russian economy. Such enterprises have the right to apply for state support and subsidies.
