SLK Cement employees evaluate future colleagues in accordance with WorldSkills standards
Specialists of SLK Cement acted as certified experts in the demonstration exam (DE) according to the standards of the international association WorldSkills. DE was carried out at the Pervomaisky technical school of the building materials industry for the graduating group of technologists. This procedure allows students to demonstrate mastered professional competencies in conditions close to production. According to results of the exam, experts also decided on the admission of students to the defense of the diploma. In addition, all participants received Skills Passport - an electronic document generated based on the results of the DE which reflects the level of practical skills in the "Laboratory chemical analysis" competence.
All SLK Cement employees, acting as experts, were trained in accordance with Worldskills Russia standards and received certificates for the right to assess the DE. Practical experience and professional training allows them to assess the skills of students and their readiness for further work in production.
“Students showed good skills in mastering professional competencies, and according to the results of the exams, I see that a worthy change of young specialists is growing up,” noted Oksana Fedoseyeva, Leading Engineer of the Production Department of the Korkino branch.
“One of the most important tasks of the personnel policy of our company is close cooperation with vocational schools and universities in the framework of training future personnel. Both, educational institutions and us get the desired result: students get to know the production, and our employees see future graduates at work, - said Sergei Kalinin, HR Director of SLK Cement. “The qualification allows the company's specialists to conduct a high-quality assessment of knowledge and be professional mentors for their young colleagues.”
The plant in Korkino (Pervomaisky settlement) has a long-standing partnership with the Pervomaisky technical school of the building materials industry. Cement workers support future colleagues: they have purchased equipment for a CPS laboratory, conduct excursions for future technologists, and invite them to participate in plant events, for example, in the events of the Year of Transport Safety program. Students of the technical school annually undergo practical training at the SLK Cement plant under the supervision of experienced mentors.
