Evolutionary development of performance management

It is shown that the traditional approach to the implementation of MES/MOM projects consisting in the use of a complete, integrated MES/MOM solution often leads to unsatisfactory results not meeting the customer’s expectations. An alternative evolutionary approach, which includes an open, scalable, flexible, highly available and secure real-time data infrastructure (RT) as a strategic element, and software tools for working with data in RT (SMI/EMI). Examples of this approach in the workplace are given.
