In continuation of our publications under the heading Cement Production Process Stages (Quarries — № 6 for 2007, Grinding — № 5 for 2008, Firing — № 2 for 2009, Automation — № 6 for 2009, Storing, packing, dispatch — № 5 for 2010, Maintenance and servicing — № 5 for 2011), Designing, engineering, consulting — № 6 for 2012) we now publish another special section called Laboratory and process control. The section provides information about the equipment for sample preparation, testing and identification of the properties of cement and cement-based materials, X-ray fluorescence analysis, X-ray diffraction and optical analysis, laser granulometry, thermogravimetry, calorimetry, software used for this purpose; computeraided process control systems, devices for diagnostics of process equipment failures, for determination of the amount of material in storage, flow meters; laboratory furnaces and dessicators; IR spectrometers and sensors for sorting wastes; services of certification and testing of cements, dry mixes and other materials; multi-fraction and uniform sand for testing of cement.
