New South Ural Mining Co. ‘s cement production line in Novotroitsk
A new cement project of OOO South Ural Mining Company in the town of Novotroitsk is described. KHD Humboldt Wedag, Germany, became the main equipment supplier. Its subsidiary, ZAB Zementanlagenbau GmbH Dessau, Germany, provided basic engineering work, supplies of the main process equipment, installation and commissioning supervision, along with training of South Urals Mining Co. staff. The design allows for high-performance dry process cement production according to state-of-the-art technology using mining and metallurgy wastes and the wastes from the co-generation plant, and will comprise two process lines with a design clinker production capacity of 3,000 tpd. The first line was put into operation in 2010; construction of the second one is under way. The results of tests confirming the guaranteed performance characteristics of the new kiln line — its performance, specific heat and electric power consumption, a high level of flue gases cleaning — are provided. The specific heat consumption for clinker firing was 2495 kJ/kg.Author: A.V. Dianov, Ye.V. Schegolyayev |
