Water physical properties of chalk suspensions depending on the microstructural characteristics of the rock and the presence of thinning agents

Water physical properties of chalk suspensions depending on the microstructural characteristics of the rock and the presence of thinners at OOO Polyplast Novomoskovsk were examined. It is shown that the microstructure of chalk particles occurring at the lower horizon is represented by skeletal remains of foraminifera of different morphotypes. On the upper layers chalk is found with a partially destroyed structure with a high content of powder particles as small as 0.5 microns. These features define the water physical properties of highly concentrated chalk suspensions and their behavior in the presence of thinners.
