Cement industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan: status, new technology introduction and development prospects

The economic expansion in the Republic of Uzbekistan that caused a higher demand for building materials promoted an increase in production volumes. The government development programme for this sector includes modernisation of the existing production facilities, construction of new process lines and new plants. The technology provides for introduction of developments by the local scientists involving the use of local igneous rock. The article provides data on the cement market status, expected investment volumes and capacities to be commissioned.
