Clinker manufacture using a mineralizer based on fluorine-containing waste

The article is devoted to the topical problem of enhancing the Portland cement clinker production efficiency by applying low-cost technogenic mineralizers based on fluorine-containing waste of aluminium manufacture.
It cites the results of research into the mineralising ability of fluorine-containing waste of aluminium manufacture in process of clinker formation. OOO Volsk-Cement raw slurry is taken as an example. The behaviour of the basic raw slurry components and technogenic mineralizer in the course of firing was studied. It was established that that, under the influence of a mineralizer, calcium carbonate thermal decomposition shifts to the range of temperatures that are 100–130°C lower. Optimum limits of the technogenic mineralizer dosage were determined
