Monolithic refractories for cement industry

The article reviews various types of action to which refractory lining of cement rotary kilns is exposed while in operation. It presents the technical solutions developed by the international company Calderys for lining materials that contain silicon carbide. If necessary, the materials thus developed can be applied either by shotcreting or as an ordinary self-compressing concrete by using the spraycast technology. Their application results in higher reliability and longer service life of the lining in kiln sections exposed to highest wear.
