Maintenance of reduction gears: an inside view.

The article considers organization of reduction gear maintenance by specialists of the Swiss company FLSmidth MAAG Gear. It cites an example of rapid reconditioning of a reduction gear damaged in an accident at a Holcim Company plant in Germany. The article demonstrates the importance of timely and skilled maintenance for long-term reliable operation of reduction gears. In recent years the company’s network of branches has been considerably expanded, which has accelerated the process of rendering the necessary assistance to its customers.
