Gunning repair in the cement industry

The process of gunning is well known in the cement industry. In recent time the refractory producers have improved their gunning materials in the field of low (or even no) cement mixes. These materials could only be processed by casting or shotcreting. By means of the new VELCO development, the GUNMIX®-system, the moistening of the gunning material is considerably improved, what results in less dust and low rebound. Now it is possible to apply high quality LC-materials in a dry gunning procedure. GUNMIX® is a cost-saving alternative to costly procedures such as shotcreting.
