Cement industry after Lillehammer

The article focuses attention on the ecological and economic problems, without solving which further development of the world cement industry is impossible. It considers the problems of trapping and storage of СО2, using alternative types of fuel, the European Commission`s proposals on the restriction of СО2 emissions for the post-Kyoto period. Considerable attention is given to possible aftereffects of adopting these proposals s for the European and world cement industry.
