Theoretical bases of the white cement production technology

The article provides a detailed description of the effect of the reducing medium on the reflection coefficient (RC) of clinker minerals, on their colour in the presence of colouring impurities of Fe2O3, TiO2, Mn2O3 and on the whiteness of clinker. It shows the effectiveness of low-reduction firing for increasing the whiteness of clinker, especially at an elevated content of manganese oxides. Also provided is theoretical substantiation of the high efficiency of bleaching the clinker by water hardening.
