Unmoulded refractories in rotary kiln linings

The article characterizes the low-cement refractory concretes of new brands manufactured by Dalmond Feuerfest Siegburg, which is part of Magnezit Group, and describes the results of their application. After using them to line the charging and discharging sections of five rotary kilns for magnesite firing at Magnezit integrated works, the duration of annual kiln stoppages was reduced by 640 hours. Modern refractory concretes were introduced and are now being tested at a number of Russian cement plants.
