Low water-demand cement: new results and prospects.

The article cites the results of quality evaluation of low water-demand cement after its storage in silos for 12 years. It is shown that a purely clinker cement of low water-demand of class 62.5 did not change the strength parameters either after 1 or 3 days or after 28 days. It considers the effect of various modifiers on the properties of cement. Technological measures are suggested that would ensure stable performance of low water-demand cements. The results obtained provide an opportunity for wide introduction of this kind of cement that contains 30-50% clinker at maintaining a durability level of 50-60 MPa.
