Electron microscopic investigations of cement stone subjected to sulphate aggression

The article cites the results of an electron microscopic investigations of cement stone hardening in a sulphate medium. It was established that the main reason for the decay of the samples is calcium leaching followed by gypsum and ettringite formation. To improve the corrosion resistance of the cements, it is recommended to use sulphated clinkers.
