Modernisation of cement mill № 6

Modernisation of cement mill №6 was performed at "Shchurovsky Cement". It included the changeover to closed cycle grinding by installing a third-generation high-efficiency ODK separator and other equipment from Christian Pfeiffer. The article describes the design and operating principle of the QDK separator and demonstrates its advantages. As a result of modernization the goals set were fully achieved. The capacity of the mill was increased, specific power consumption was reduced, cement quality improved, universality for the production of various types of cement was assured.
