Setting and hardening accelerators for Portland cements based on aluminium oxides and hydroxides

This work is an investigation of the effect of high-dispersive powders on setting and hardening accelerators for Portland cements based on aluminium oxides and hydroxides. It is shown that the greatest activity is demonstrated by high-dispersive powders, which, in terms of their phase composition, are represented by amorphous aluminium hydroxide or its mix with active aluminium oxide. Such materials, being effective Portland cement setting accelerators, do not reduce the strength of cement mortars at later hardening stages.
