Upgrading of steel liner plate design in ball mills

The experience of the Zlatoust Metaplast foundry (ZLZ Metaplast) in upgrading the steel liner plate design in ball mills is described. A new liner profile improves the performance of the mill by 7-10% on an average, allows using harder and more durable materials, thereby significantly increasing the service life of the lining. The new armoured lining is installed at a number of cement plants.
