Methods of physical and mechanical control of raw slurry rheology
It is shown in the paper that low-frequency oscillations (15-25 Hz) of the vibrating working element may increase the mobility of the slurry 3-23 times, allowing to reduce its moisture content by 3-5%. Reduction of energy consumption for clinker production can be achieved by reducing not only heat consumption for evaporation of moisture in the furnace, but also the amount of power consumed by the pump for pumping the slurry (due to its greater mobility and smaller amount), and the amount of water used for its dilution. The total energy consumption can be reduced by 7-15%, depending on the characteristics of the mineral raw material. At the same time, no significant capital and financial costs are required for upgrading the existing equipment used for pumping sludge in order to reduce energy costs and increase the efficiency of clinker production.Author: P.V.
