Preventative maintenance and root cause analysis for critical process conveying equipment

This paper discusses the overall importance and benefits of a complete and efficient preventative maintenance program. Implementing a strong program will have positive impacts on safety, early detection, predictive maintenance, life expectancy, and reducing operating costs. An analytical review of the problem is presented. Existing tools and new technologies, specifically the load measuring roller, are considered.
