Mechanical impact in grinding as a factor determining the quality characteristics of cement

Methods of mechanical action on the material ground in ball mills and vertical roller mills are fundamentally different from each other. These differences affect the particulate composition of the products, the geometric form and nature of the surface of individual particles, as well as the additives distribution by size and, as a consequence, the strength and hydration characteristics of ground products. The article discusses the impact of the mill type on the qualitative characteristics of the resulting cement.
