Intensification and modeling of material grinding in ball-and-tube mills for industrial purposes
The authors, using the ratio of the grinding media weight to the weight of the ground material, studied the processes of grinding materials in a ball-and-tube mill in the laboratory. As a result, it was found that it was possible to intensify grinding using the maximum ball load, thus increasing the energy efficiency of grinding. The intensification is due to two factors: the abrading action pulse (AAP) and the impact compression pulse (ICP). The pilot tests reached an increase in production rate of 15-20%.
