Investigation of process parameters affecting the final properties of concrete
The article describes the results of studies carried out in the laboratory of concrete of A.A. Gvozdev R&D Institute of Concrete, to confirm and correct the relationships of water resistance to strength and of frost resistance to strength for heavyweight concretes. The results of these studies were used to formulate, and include in the standard documentation for the first time, the process specifications for concretes, which can provide compliance with the design requirements for strength, water resistance and frost resistance. The characteristics of concrete to ensure its resistance to various types of corrosive action, defined according to long-term studies of concrete and reinforced concrete structures’ durability are also provided.Author: S.A.
