Mechanism of solidification of borate salt solutions with slag-alkaline binders

The results of examination are reported of the effect of borate salt solutions used to simulate liquid radioactive waste of nuclear power plants with water-cooled reactors on the setting time, compressive strength, hydration temperature and products of slag lime binders solidification. The mechanism of borate salt solutions solidification by mineral matrices based on slag lime binders was identified.
