Packing machines: technologies of tomorrow

The following article is the third part of HAVER & BOECKER’s “The cement plant of tomorrow” series of articles (for parts one and two see journal Cement
and its Applications, issues # 1 and 2 for the year 2016). In the mid 20’s the company began to build packing machines for cement. HAVER & BOECKER
shaped the packing technology market when it introduced the world-renowned ROTO-PACKER® in the 1960’s, which is copied to this day by competitors
around the globe. At the end of the 1990’s HAVER & BOECKER introduced the SEAL technology, capable of welding paper valve bags completely shut after thefilling process and 10 years ago the ADAMS® technology, the first in the world capable of filling cement into plastic bags for better logistics and continuous production. The latest innovation is ROTO-LOCK, the world’s only dosing unit that replaces the traditional sliding plates with a rotating flow gate.
