General principles for the development of variously configured equipment for production of building materials

This article describes an approach to multipleoption designing of process equipment for Portland cement production lines, with a case study of ball mills. Modern software makes it possible to create digital mock-ups of items and combine different components of units to configure the finished product, as well as to carry out engineering calculations of individual components and elements. Used in conjunction with the lifecycle management systems, these software packages shorten the development cycle and reduce the complexity of design work.
