Russian cement industry in 2016

The article analyzes the state of Russian cement industry in 2016 and shows possible prospects for its development. The cement output in this year was lower than the indicator of 2015 by 11.4% but 5.7% higher than that of pre-crisis 2006. New cement enterprises were mastering the operation of dry process. Over 2016 the share of this method in cement production increased and achieved 30.1 Mt or 54.7%. Main technical-and-economic indicators of the industry operation — production and consumption volumes, total imports and exports of cement, specific energy costs, structure of the fuel consumed, consumption of natural raw and anthropogenic materials, price movement and behavior of the costs related to the production and sales of cement enterprises products — are given.
