More than just a kiln scanner

The article is devoted to infrared scanning systems for cement rotary kiln shells manufactured by Thermoteknix (UK). The capacity of modern scanning hardware and software by Thermoteknix make it possible to register the loss of even a single refractory brick in the kiln, giving the operators of the process line the time and possibility to quickly respond to the local rise of the shell temperature and prevent the development of emergency situations that can cause significant material and financial damage. In addition to the functions of monitoring the state of the kiln shell the Thermoteknix software has many other useful features, involving those provided with additional modules and sensors.
