A process control system to improve the efficiency and profitability of cement production

The article reviews a new version of ECS/ProcessExpert 8.3 software from FLSmidth Automation, a process control system for cement production. In this version a number of advanced functions have been implemented, including model predictive control, fuzzy logic and an intelligent system to select the optimum production process and ensure the greatest stability in the operation of the line. The system has proven its capability to improve performance and product quality in many different industrial conditions, reducing energy and other resources consumption
