First results of creep tests of concrete damaged by alkali-silica reaction
The article presents results of tests of mechanical properties and creep strength of the concrete damaged by ASR. Coarse aggregates with different reactivity were used for the manufacture of concrete. It was found that the static modulus of elasticity of concrete depends on the length of its curing in the cloud chamber. All examined concretes with slow reacting aggregates showed an increase in compressive strength. The results show the relationship between the creep of concrete, its static modulus and compressive strengthAuthor: H. Ozkan, H.-W. Reinhardt, O. Mielich |
