Upgrading the exhaust fan at the plant of TOO Zhambyl Cement Production Company

The project of upgrading the drive of the kiln fan at the cement plant of TOO Zhambyl Cement Production Company in Kazakhstan, a part of the Vicat Group, is briefly described. In the course of upgrading the 1600 kW drive, a new variable speed turbo coupling 1150 SVNL 21-18,5.3 from Voith Turbo was installed. The replacement was due to the unsatisfactory performance of the existing coupling. Upgrading ensured reliable operation of the exhaust fan. The article also describes variable speed turbo couplings by Voith Turbo.
