New cement terminal in Murmansk

The paper describes the project of expanding the capacity of OOO Norcem Kola terminal (HeidelbergCement group) in Murmansk, Russia. The project was implemented by Italian Euromecc Srl. To increase the throughput of cement, a new storage silo of 7,200 tons capacity was built. The project also provided for supervision of all mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning of equipment by the experts of the contractor. The processes of loading, storage and shipment of cement on the new terminal are highly automated. The project was adapted to the local climate. Cement is shipped from the new terminal in bulk in trucks.
