Increase in the service life of the lining of the discharge end of rotary kilns and the hot zone of the clinker cooler.

The issues of operation of refractory lining in the discharge zone of rotary kilns and grate-type clinker coolers are discussed. The use of certain brands of refractory materials produced by the Spanish Refractarios Especiales S.A. (Refracta) shows ways to increase the service life of lining in these zones. Examples are given of the use of the company s materials on the Portland cement clinker production lines in Russia, including at the South Ural Mining and Processing Company (OOO YUGPK), and abroad.
