Sustainability at Cajati cement plant
Cajati Cement Plant in Brazil is integrated into an industrial complex where limestone, iron ore (magnetite) and phosphogypsum used for cement production, are by-products of other industries located in the same area. Raw materials used for clinker production contain 85% of the materials obtained from processing of apatite ore with a considerable amount of limestone. This reduces the cost of cement production and the impact of the operation on the environment.Author: F. Leitao |
