Clinker and finished product quality control at cement plants by X-ray diffraction analysis.

The article presents the results demonstrating practical application of DRON-8 general purpose X-ray diffractometer produced by AO RC Burevestnik for quality control of clinkers and cements on samples of materials provided by OOO Serebryansky cement plant. The potential of the Rietveld refinement is shown in the Rietveld software developed by AO RC Burevestnik for the quantitative analysis of the mineral composition of cement products. The reproducibility of quantitative determination of the mineral content in clinker using the Rietveld method is assessed.
