Cement industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In recent years, cement enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan have significantly stepped up their work due to the growing demand for cement, market development and government support. In 2018, integrated cement plants, with their total annual production capacity of 12,000 kt, produced 9,203.8 kt of cement. Excluding enterprises commissioned in the second half of 2018, the capacity utilization factor was about 95%. Cement consumption in 2018 increased by 29.5% compared with 2017 and exceeded its production in the country by 3,511 kt. The decisive factor in the growth of demand for cement is an increase in construction and contractual works.
